2023-2024 EXECUTIVE BOARD

Hello HBE!!! My name is Philece Smith and I am the president. My husband and I have two children a 11th grader and a 2nd grader. Highland Bluff Elementary is a unique school with an incredible legacy and it?s an honor to be apart of it.

I chose to be apart of the PTO as a way for me to serve the faculty and staff and to make sure everyone knows how much they are loved and appreciated. My time on the board has been exciting and rewarding and I look forward to what this year has to bring.

My name is Katie Thompson and I am serving the vice president. I live in Brandon with my identical girl twins, Mary Kate and Madison, who will be in the 5th grade and my son, Wasson, who will be in 6th grade this year at HBE.

This will be my 20th year as a public school educator, and my fourth year as a Highland Bluff parent. I am excited to serve on the Board to support everything Highland Bluff ensuring our kids live their best life all while consistently showing growth.

Greetings, my name is Marquita White. I serve as your treasurer for this year. I  also serve as Program Manager for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Center of Coastal and Marine Ecosystems at Jackson State University. Although this is my first year serving on the board, I am no stranger to HBE's PTO. I am excited to continue serving the awesome scholars, educators, and staff of The Bluff as they embark on a new year full of adventures.

 

My husband, Danyell, and I have one
dynamic, kind, and gifted daughter at HBE. Our daughter, Peyton, has been at The Bluff since kindergarten and is excited to enter 5th grade this year! Our family loves creating new things and sharing our gifts with others. As a
former educator who comes from a long line of educators, I value life-long learning, the spirit of service and the good they bring to our community.  am excited to share my love for service and gifts in any capacity that helps The Bluff remain an exemplary school as it journeys to excellence.

My name is Laura Dearman and I
am serving the HBE PTO board as
one of your fundraising directors.          I live in Brandon with my husband
William, and our twins Hudson and Whitley who will be in second grade

 his year at HBE.

I am a Labor and Delivery nurse
and small business owner. This will
be my second year as a Highland
Bluff parent and I am excited to
serve on the Board to support the
faculty, staff, and students at HBE.

Hey ya'll! My name is Allyson Brock, your 23-24 secretary! My husband Brandon and I both graduated rom NWRHS and were actually high school sweethearts! We've been HBE parents for three years and are excited for our sons Benjamin and Elijah to be entering the 3rd and 1st grades. Our youngest son, Gideon, is two years old and can't wait to be at HBE with his big brothers!

 

I am a Managing Attorney and YoungWilliiams, P.C. and our family attend Pinelake Chruch. I am looking forward  to all the fun plans for this school year and to serve our school family!
