2024-2025 EXECUTIVE BOARD

Hello HBE!!! My name is Philece Smith and I am the president. My husband and I have two children: a Senior at NWR high school and a 3rd grader. Highland Bluff Elementary is a unique school with an incredible legacy and it's an honor to be apart of it.

I chose to be apart of the PTO as a way for me to serve the faculty and staff and to make sure everyone knows how much they are loved and appreciated. My time on the board has been exciting and rewarding and I look forward to what this year has to bring.

My name is Kevin Schipper. I have lived in Brandon, MS since 2012. My wife, Katie and I, are both pharmacists; she is the Director of Pharmacy at St Dominic's and I am a consultant. We have a blended family with 4 children ranging in ages from 7 to 25, 3 of which have gone through the NWR school system. In my free time, I enjoy woodworking, cooking, family time, and taking vacations off the beaten path. Our youngest daughter, Charlotte, will be in 2nd grade at Highland Bluff Elementary this year. I am looking forward to serving as the Vice President of the PTO for this school year.

My name is Andrea Burks, and this is my first year serving the HBE PTO board as Treasurer. I am an accountant working in Tax Technology for Hilton. My husband, Derrell, and I have 3 children. Our twins, Derrell and Andrew, are entering the 4th grade. We also have a 2 yr old, Jaden. I am looking forward to serving this year!

I am the mama to Everett (2nd grade) and Samuel (2 years old). By day, I am assistant property manager at an apartment complex nearby. I am excited to be serving as the 2024-2025 PTO Fundraising Director. I look forward to helping serve our school faculty and staff, students, and families to make this the best year yet!

​Hi! I’m married to Justin and we have 4 HBE Cougars- Jack (5th), Levi (2nd), Abby (K), and Avery (K).
I have been an educator for the past 17 years in private and public settings. I currently direct the Weekday Preschool at Colonial Heights. We are so thankful for the amazing staff at HBE that gives so much to our children, and we view serving on the PTO as a way to give back to our amazing school. I am looking forward to a great year!
